Dating safety.
Everyone in the dating deck has confirmed they are 18 or over and passed a selfie check. That confirms a real person matches the photos. It does not tell you who they are.
Before you meet
- Keep the conversation in Orbit until you trust the person. You can block or report from inside the chat, and we can see the context when you do.
- Do not send money, gift cards, cryptocurrency or bank details to someone you have not met, whatever the reason given. Report anyone who asks.
- Be careful with your surname, home address, workplace and daily routine. Your birth date, time and place are never shown to other members.
- A video call before meeting is a good way to check the person is who they say.
When you meet
- Meet in a busy public place, and arrange your own travel there and back.
- Tell a friend who you are meeting, where and when, and check in with them afterwards.
- Keep your phone charged and with you. Stay in control of your drink.
- You can leave at any time, for any reason.
Blocking and reporting
In a chat, choose Report or Block at the top. Blocking ends the match and removes you from each other's decks. A report goes to our review team with the reason you give, and it blocks the person unless you choose to keep the chat open. You can also write to [email protected].
Report anyone who seems under 18, uses photos that are not theirs, threatens or harasses you, sends sexual content you did not ask for, or asks for money.
